JCM in Dialogue 2026
Faithful Dissent

9 - 15 February 2026
Haus Wasserburg, Vallendar
JCM 2026 invites participants to engage courageously, listen openly, and reflect deeply on what it means to be faithfully critical in our religious lives and shared world. How do believers confront difficult or troubling aspects of their sacred texts and traditions? What does it mean to remain faithful while speaking out against injustice or outdated norms within one’s religious community? Can loyalty and critique coexist—and even strengthen one another?

JCM in Dialogue 2025
Peace in a Time of Conflict

16 - 22 June 2025
Haus Wasserburg, Vallendar
Abrahamic interfaith dialogue was deeply shaken by the violent attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 and the subsequent war in Gaza, events that profoundly affected Jews, Christians and Muslims whose faiths are tied to the Holy Land and its meaning. For all who believed in God’s presence and guidance, violent conflict—wherever it occurred—challenges their ability to uphold their religious commitments to respect, love, and compassion, and to bear witness to a God who cares for all people and creation. Across the world, both secular and religious groups sought peace and reconciliation, often unnoticed, offering valuable insights into how divided communities could find common ground. Many reached across religious and national lines to work toward justice and healing—raising questions about what motivated them, what principles and methods guided their work, and how these might inform our own dialogue. JCM in Dialogue 2025 sought to explore the experiences of those who lived through violent conflict and to address the challenges that war and violence brought to the dialogue table.
